Dalbec Named NECC Player of the Week
Paxton, Mass. – For the second time this season, Anna Maria College sophomore Kylie Dalbec (Portland, Maine) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference field hockey Player of the Week as announced on Monday afternoon.
Dalbec notched 8 points, 3 goals and 2 assists for the AMCATS who went 2-0 last week in conference play. The starting forward had a hand in all scores for Anna Maria and pushed her league leading goal total to 14 on the season. With just a pair of ticks left in the first half, Dalbec found the back of the net for the game-winner in a 1-0 victory over Regis College. Against NECC rival Elms College, the second-year player posted two goals and two assists in a 4-2 win. Dalbec dished out assists on the first two AMCAT goals, scored the game-winner in the 53rd minute and added an insurance marker in the 63rd minute.
AMC returns to conference play on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Becker College for a 4:00pm tilt.
