Field Hockey Places Four on NECC All-Academic Team

Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College field hockey team placed four players on the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All-Academic Team for the fall 2013 semester as announced by the league office.

To be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings.

Senior Nicole Morrison (Rutland, Mass.), junior Nichole Lowe (Saugus, Mass.), sophomores Kylie Dalbec (Portland, Maine) and Amanda Hebert (South Deerfield, Mass.) were selected to the squad. This is the second consecutive year for Morrison and Lowe to receive the award.

A total of 198 student-athletes have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Academic All-Conference team for the 2013 fall semester Student-athletes who competed in men's and women's cross country, men's golf, field hockey, men's and women's soccer,  women's tennis and women's volleyball were eligible for fall NECC academic honors. Anna Maria is an associate member of the NECC for field hockey only.
