Lady AMCATS stop the Express, 2-0

Paxton, Mass. - The Anna Maria College field hockey team played host to the visiting Wells College on a beautiful fall Saturday afternoon and downed the Express, 2-0 in non-conference play. AMC improves to 6-3, and with the loss the Express dropped to 1-6 on the season.

Junior Nicole Lowe (Saugus, Mass.) was the offensive star of the game potting a goal and an assist while teammate Kylie Dalbec (Portland, ME) continues her torrid pace notching her eleventh goal of the season pushing her goal scoring streak to six games.
Dalbec tipped the twin at 19:58 of the first stanza, converting a pass across the goalmouth from Lowe. Lowe provided an insurance goal in the 30th minute when she converted a  penalty stroke from seven yards out.
The AMCATS played phenomenal defense and that helped Mary Kate Breen (Londonderry, NH) to her 3rd shutout of the season. Freshman Katherine Albro (Leicester, Mass.) notched her second defensive save of the season, while Breen posted three saves on the afternoon.
The AMCATS will take on Worcester rival Clark University on Tuesday, September 24th at 4:30 pm.
