Eight AMCATS Garner NFHCA Academic Recognition

Paxton, MA - Eight members of the AMCAT field hockey team were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad. In addition, for the second consecutive season Anna Maria received national distinction by having a team cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.


The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2012-13 academic year. 

The honored Lady AMCATS are: Mary Kate Breen (Londonderry, NH), Luigina Cerro (Beverly, MA), Kylie Dalbec (Portland, ME), Brooke Denver (New Britain, CT), Kelsey Donnelly (Lakeville, MA), Amanda Hebert (South Deerfield, MA), Nichole Lowe (Saugus, MA) and Nicole Morrison (Rutland, MA).

Denver, Donnelly and Lowe have garnered recognition for the second straight year.

Freshman Kylie Dalbec (Portland, ME) was also acknowledged as an NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction for achieving a 3.90 or better grade point average.

The AMCATS finished the 2012 season with a 14-8 record and were crowed the NECC Champions.
