AMCATS Sweep NECC Weekly Field Hockey Awards

Paxton, Mass. – For the second time this season for both players, sophomore Nichole Lowe (Saugus, Mass.) and freshman Kylie Dalbec (Portland, ME) have earned NECC conference honors. Lowe notched the NECC Player of the Week title while Dalbec was named NECC Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Lowe had two goals and one assist on the week for the AMCATS. The AMCATS went 2-0 over the past seven days and concluded the NECC regular season undefeated at 6-0. Lowe who has had at least a point in the last seven games for Anna Maria had an assist in a 4-1 win over Wheelock College. In the season finale at Daniel Webster, Lowe notched the game's first goal and the eventual game winner, putting a rebound in the back of the net late in the second half. Lowe finishes the season atop the NECC in assists (15) and third in points (29).

Dalbec led the AMCATS dishing out two assists and adding a goal for Anna Maria. In a 4-1 win over Wheelock, the freshman assisted on the first goal of the game and then added an insurance score late in the game. The center forward assisted on Lowe's first goal in a 2-1 win over Daniel Webster. Dalbec was a key contributor to the AMCATS 6-0 undefeated run to the NECC regular season title. Dalbec finished 4th in the NECC in points (28), second in assists (10) and third in goals (9).

Anna Maria (12-7, 6-0 NECC) has been seeded number one in the NECC Field Hockey Tournament, they will host fourth seed Wheelock (3-10, 3-3 NECC) on Thursday, November 1st at 6:00pm.
