AMCATS Earn ECAC Selection as #5th Seed
CENTERVILLE, Mass. -- After finishing the regular-season with a 17-3 record, Bridgewater State University was selected as the No. 1 seed in the 2012 ECAC DIII New England Women's Field Hockey Championship. The tournament is a five-team field with quarterfinal, semifinal and championship rounds.
In the first-round contests on Wednesday, November 7th, No. 4 University of New England (10-9) will host No. 5 Anna Maria College (14-7) at 4:00 p.m.
The first-round winner will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 10th at Bridgewater State University. The winner of #4 UNE vs. #5 Anna Maria will face the Bridgewater State University at 12:00 p.m. in one semifinal, and #2 Keene State (15-8) will play #3 Plymouth State (11-7) at 3:00 p.m. in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, November 11th at 12:00 p.m. for the championship.
