Seven Student-Athletes Named to the ECFC/NECC Fall All-Academic Team

Paxton, Mass. – Five Anna Maria College field hockey players and two football student-athletes have been named to their respective conference's 2012 Fall All-Academic team.

The field hockey team participates in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), where to be  eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00 and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings. A total of 27 field hockey student athletes were named to the team. Anna Maria captured the NECC championship in 2012.

Senior Brooke Denver (New Britain, CT) and junior Kelsey Donnelly (Lakeville, MA) are repeat selections for the team. Joining Denver and Donnelly are sophomores Nichole Lowe (Saugus, MA) and Luigina Cerro (Beverly, MA) and junior Nicole Morrison (Rutland, MA).

Junior Andrew Nevit (Lindenhurst, NY) and teammate Tim Ray (Lynn, MA) are 2012 members of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference All-Academic Team. Forty-nine student-athletes who participated during the 2012 season received recognition. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing, have participated a minimum two years with the team and achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.
