Paxton, Mass. -  The Anna Maria College field hockey team came from behind and scored four unanswered goals to down visiting Lasell College 4-1 in non-conference action on Thursday night at AMCAT Field.

With the win the AMCATS even their overall record at 7-7, while the Lasers drop to 4-10.

Anna Maria was paced by senior Marybeth McClune's (Worcester, Mass.) two goals and sophomore Nicole Lowe's (Saugus, Mass.) goal and assist. Freshman standout Kylie Dalbec (Portland, ME) added two helpers and defender Shannon Looney (Leicester, Mass.) added an unassisted goal.

Lasell's Cristina Wilson (Wilmington, Mass.) scored the game's first goal when the Lasers converted a feed from Kate Fabri (Medway, Mass.) off a penalty corner at the 8 minute mark of the first period.

The AMCATS would tie the score just minutes later when Dalbec fed a beautiful pass through the middle that Lowe would tip pass netminder Cassie Aviles (Bellingham, Mass.) for the equalizer.

The teams went into the break knotted at 1-1, however the AMCATS put the pressure on early and often to open up the second half. Senior Shannon Looney notched her second goal of the season just five minutes into the second stanza. Number fifteen rifled home the eventual game-winner from just inside the penalty circle.

McClune scored the first of her two goals just over a minute after Looney. Forward Nicole Lowe had a nifty reverse stick drive to the left side of the net that McClune tipped in for the 3-1 lead. With the assist Lowe is now tied atop the all-time leaderboard for assists (11) in a season for the AMCATS.

Dalbec earned her second assist on the night with a cross pass to set up McClune for her 10th goal of the season.

The AMCATS played stellar defense all night, goaltender Mary Kate Breen made 8 saves to earn her seventh win of the season, while Kelsey Donnelly (Lakeville, Mass.), Amanda Hebert (South Deerfield, Mass.) and Bridget Larson (Hull, Mass.) were workhorses on the backline.
