Bleaney Named ECHA Rookie Of The Week
PAXTON, MA : Freshman forward Jordyn Bleaney (Nanoose Bay, BC) of the Anna Maria College women's ice hockey team was recognized as the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Alliance (ECHA) Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 21, 2021 as announced by the conference on Monday.
Bleaney posted two goals and an assist for the week in games against New England College and Assumption. Facing the Greyhounds in ECHA action on Saturday, Bleaney scored on a power play 4:46 into the second for the eventual game-winner.
Bleaney leads the AMCATS with four points in her first seven career games.
In the inaugural season of the ECHA, Bleaney is the second AMCAT to be recognized with a weekly award.
