Lapierre Earns GNAC Player of the Week Honors

COMPLETE GNAC RELEASE

WINTHROP, Mass.—Senior Kayla Lapierre (Worcester, Mass.) of the Anna Maria College field hockey team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

It marks the second time this season that Lapierre has earned the league's weekly honor.

LAPIERRE'S WEEK

Lapierre totaled four goals and two assists in a 2-0 week for the AMCATS. She netted game-winners in both games, scoring the fourth goal in Anna Maria's 6-3 win against Nichols and the third goal in the AMCATS' 6-2 win against Rivier.

She posted an even two goals and one assist in each game on the week. The team's win against Nichols marked the first time in a decade that the AMCATS topped the Bison.

On the season, Lapierre has 10 goals and 10 assists for an even 30 points.

WHAT'S NEXT

The AMCATS are on the road twice this week, playing a non-conference game at Framingham State on Tuesday before traveling to Simmons for an important GNAC matchup on Saturday.
