Six AMCATS Named To NFHCA Academic Squad

PAXTON, MA --- The Anna Maria College field hockey team had six players named to the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad as announced by the NFHCA on Thursday afternoon.

AMCAT grad student forward Allyson Shaw (Worcester, MA) , senior midfielder Abigayle Celata (Baldwinville, MA) , junior defender Emily Randall (Feeding Hills, MA) , junior defender Meghan Sonia (West Tisbury, MA) , freshman defender Kayla Proia (Maynard, MA) and freshman defender Sydney Stebbins (Poland, ME) were all recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in the classroom.

The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.

Over 2,300 student-athletes from 161 Division III institutions have been named to the 2021 NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.
