Field Hockey: Tobey Named GNAC Goalkeeper Of The Week

PAXTON, MA : Junior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) of the Anna Maria College field hockey team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Goalkeeper of the Week for the week ending October 31, 2021 as announced by the conference on Monday.

Tobey played the game of her career on Saturday in the GNAC playoffs, stopping the first eleven shots-on-goal from the number-one seeded Chargers of Colby-Sawyer College and carrying the AMCATS into double-overtime. Tobey posted a .917 save percentage for the contest, coming just 12 seconds short of forcing a shootout.

Tobey is the first AMCAT to be recognized as the GNAC Goalie of the Week since October 5, 2015, when former Anna Maria standout Mary Kate Breen was so honored.
