Field Hockey Stopped At Nichols

- DUDLEY, MA : The Anna Maria College field hockey team lost 2-0 at Nichols College on Wednesday evening in a matchup of cross-county rivals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Anna Maria junior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) recorded eight saves in just 42 minutes for the AMCATS. Junior defender Meghan Sonia (West Tisbury, MA) led Anna Maria with two shots on the day.
  • Nichols had goals from Erin Anthony and Dana Edwards, both in the second half. Sophia Venable picked up the shutout win with two saves.
