Forget, Shaw Lead Field Hockey Over Sweet Briar

PAXTON, MASS. : The Anna Maria College field hockey team won 5-1 over visiting Sweet Briar College on Saturday at Caparso Field in Paxton.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Anna Maria sophomore forward Eden Forget (Worcester, MA) scored twice for the AMCATS, including the first goal of the game in the 13^th minute.
• Grad student forward Allyson Shaw (Worcester, MA) scored two goals with an assist.
• Anna Maria senior midfielder Chayna Bingham-Hendricks (Mashpee, MA) finished with one goal and two assists while junior defender Meghan Sonia (West Tisbury, MA) had assisted on two goals.
• Anna Maria junior goalkeeper Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) flirted with a near-shutout, tallying six saves in net.
• Sweet Briar junior midfielder Colleen Goodly (Yorktown, VA) scored the Vixens' sole goal of the game, that coming with no time left on the clock.

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Wednesday when they travel to Rivier University for a 7:00 p.m. contest.
