Pingeton Named GNAC Pitcher Of The Week

PAXTON, MA: Sophomore right-handed pitcher Anthony Pingeton (Charlton, MA) of the Anna Maria College baseball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 24, 2022 in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday.

Pingeton continued his outstanding play this week, going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA over ten innings, striking out 14 batters in games against Gordon and Lasell.

At press time, Pingeton led the AMCAT starting rotation with a 4.15 ERA. He leads the entire pitching staff in strikeouts (53) and innings pitched (43-and-a-third).

It is the third time this season that an AMCAT has been named the GNAC Pitcher of the Week.

UP NEXT:
Anna Maria will be back on the field on Wednesday when they travel to Nichols College in a 3:30 p.m. game between the cross-county rivals.
