Powers’ Power Yields GNAC Player Of The Week
PAXTON, MA: Junior designated hitter James Powers (Folsom, CA) of the Anna Maria College baseball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the week ending March 6, 2022 in an announcement by the conference on Tuesday.
Powers hit .500 with a .643 slugging percentage through the first four games of the season, driving in three runs and scoring five for himself with four walks and two stolen bases. The junior has the defending GNAC regular season champions off to a 2-2 record.
Powers was voted All-GNAC last season.

Anna Maria will be back on the field on Wednesday when they continue their spring break trip in Florida with a 3:30 p.m. game against Illinois College.
