Choate Hits Weekly Award Trifecta
PAXTON, MA -- After his lock down performance against Albertus Magnus on April 22nd, sophomore pitcher Nick Choate has turned some heads throughout Division III baseball. on Monday Choate was named GNAC Pitcher of the Week earning this award for the second time so far this season. Following his conference award, Choate was then named to the D3 Baseball Team of the Week. Shortly after, Choate was then recognized by the NCBWA (National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association) as their choice for Pitcher of the Week. this being only the fourth time this season that a player from a New England program has taken home one of the NCBWA weekly honors. After throwing a complete seven inning no hitter, striking out 13 batters in the process, Choate was the clear choice across the board, earning himself Pitcher of the Week from three different sources. Cogratulations to Nick Choate on his impressive achievements so far this season!
Anna Maria Baseball will be back in action on Friday, April 28th where they will head up to Northfield, VT to take on the Cadets of Norwich University for their last doubleheader of the regular season. Game one starts at 12:00pm, Game two starts at 2:30pm.
