Mount Union Pulls Away From Baseball 16-5

The AMCATS started strong against Mount Union, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Holding the Raiders at 1 run to close the inning.

A pair of RBI's from the Raiders tied the game up at 3 runs a piece going into the fourth inning. The Raiders opened the flood gates scoring 4 runs on the AMCATS in the fifth inning.

Now trailing behind the Raiders 7-3 the AMCATS scratched back with two runs trying to cut down Mount Union's lead to two.

Despite the AMCATS effort to close the lead, the Raiders put up nine runs in the 7th and 8th innings, mercy ruling the AMCATS at 16-5 in eight innings played.

Jarrod Marifiote continued his hot start to the season with two hits, one run and an RBI.
