Carthage Comes Back To Beat Baseball 8-5

SV (1): Brendan Roberts - 1.2 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Jarrod Marifiote started the AMCATS scoring off with a singled RBI to send James Powers home. Shortly after, Jeremy Rosenberg made his way home off of a wild pitch. Putting the AMCATS up 2-0 over Carthage to close out the first inning.

Marifote kept the momentum rolling setting up the AMCATS with his second RBI of the day sending Hunter Dunithan home for Anna Maria's third run. 

Brady Aylward popped out a sac fly to send Powers home for his second run of the day putting the AMCATS up 4-1 at the end of the fifth inning.

Four runs from Carthage in the seventh and eighth innings gave the Firebirds the lead over the AMCATS going into the final inning.

After giving up three runs to Carthage in the top of the ninth, the AMCATS had an opportunity to scratch back with runners on second and third before Marifiote grounded out to push Powers home scoring the AMCATS last run of the day. Anna Maria closed the game out behind the firebird 8-5.

Nick Choate struck out eight batters in five innings on the mound, Jarrod Marifiote ended the game with four RBI's sending James Powers home for two of them.
