Men’s Basketball: Armstead Named GNAC Rookie Of The Week

PAXTON, MA : Sophomore forward Gabe Armstead (Dallas, GA) of the Anna Maria College men's basketball team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending November 14, 2021 as announced by the conference on Monday.

Armstead had an outstanding start to his collegiate career, averaging 22.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as the AMCATS went 1-1 for the week with a win at Mitchell and a loss at Nichols. The rookie shot 53 percent from the floor and averaged 2.0 steals, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 assists per contest.

Armstead and Anna Maria will be back on the court on Friday when they play Middlebury at the Bridgewater State Tournament.
