PAXTON, MA : AMCAT sophomore guard Joey Nuttall (Holden, MA) hit a game-winning layup with 2.6 seconds left as the Anna Maria College men's basketball team snapped out of a three-game losing streak in resounding fashion with a 73-71 win over visiting Norwich University on Wednesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Fuller Center in Paxton.

TURNING POINT:
- With the game tied at halftime, the second period was a nail-biter. With 18 seconds to go, Norwich senior guard Spencer Conatser (Reno, NV) drew the foul and made one of two free throws to tie the game up at 71-71. Anna Maria head coach Shawn Conrad called timeout and drew up a play. Nuttall kept the ball, running down the clock to five seconds before driving into the paint, finishing to put the AMCATS ahead as a desperation heave by Norwich fell short.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Anna Maria senior guard Ralph Grasso, Jr. (Marlborough, MA) continued to dominate as the AMCATS' leading scorer with 23 points a career-high ten rebounds, shooting 10 of 22 from the floor with two assists, two steals and two blocks.
- Anna Maria sophomore guard Trevian Grenon (Sutton, MA) added 15 points on offense and three steals on defense.
- Nuttall finished with ten points, five rebounds five assists and five steals.
- Anna Maria sophomore guard Jakai Alexandre (Fitchburg, MA) mixed it up with six points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Norwich senior forward Donovan Lewis Jr. (Savannah, GA) led the Cadets with 20 points, five rebounds and three blocks.
- Norwich senior forward Kyle Booth (Northfield, VT) pulled down a game-high 12 boards.
- The AMCATS forced 17 turnovers by the Cadets against nine of their own.
