Braga’s Board Bonanza Bounces Men’s Basketball By Fisher
PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College men's basketball team won 99-79 against Fisher College on Thursday evening at the Fuller Center in Paxton.
THE BASICS:

TURNING POINTS:
- The AMCATS started to pull away late in the first half, opening up a 46-33 lead at the break behind Anna Maria sophomore guard Jakai Alexandre (Fitchburg, MA) and 12 points.
- In the second-half, an early 11-0 run by the Falcons saw the visitors surge into the lead, capped off with a layup from Fisher junior guard Johnny Ortiz (Boston, MA).
- Down 64-62 with 8:16 to go in the game, Anna Maria turned to their starters to pull away with a 17-2 run, capped off with a jumper from senior guard Ralph Grasso, Jr. (Marlborough, MA). The AMCATS were never threatened again.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Anna Maria senior forward Hayden Braga (Foster, RI) turned in the best game of his career with a game-high 13 rebounds, eight points, six assists, three steals and two blocks in just 21 minutes off the bench, with AMCAT faithful rooting him on.
- Alexandre finished with 22 points, his second-highest scoring output of the season. The sophomore shot eight-of-fourteen from the floor and three-of-five from behind the arc.
- Grasso recovered from a slow start to finish with 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks.
- Anna Maria senior guard Kennedy Minix-Rogers (Smyrna, GA) dished out six assists with 11 points and eight rebounds.
- Fisher freshman guard Rameon Witt Jr. (Calabasas, CA) led the Falcons with 15 points and nine rebounds.
- Fisher junior guard Josiah Patton (Hopkinsville, KY) added 14 points and eight boards.
- Points of turnovers proved a decisive factor, as the AMCATS enjoys a 27-15 edge.
