Hammond, Reddin Voted All-GNAC Accolades

PAXTON, MA: Senior guard Franchesca Hammond (Worcester, MA) and freshman forward Marinique Reddin (Tampa, FL) of the Anna Maria College women's basketball team were voted to the 2021-2022 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference team as announced by the GNAC on Monday.

Hammond, a team captain who started all four years for the AMCATS, was voted All-GNAC second team, averaged a career-high 14.7 points per game this season with 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals. Hammond set a modern single-game record for the AMCATS making seven-of-seven three-point shots in Anna Maria's 70-67 win at Lasell on February 12th. She finishes her career ranked third all-time in school history in career assists at 343. Hammond was also named to the GNAC Sportsmanship Team.

Reddin, Anna Maria's star rookie, was voted All-GNAC third team. Reddin led the AMCATS with 15.2 points per game and 8.6 rebounds, also leading the team in total blocks with 16. She was also named to the Worcester City All-Tournament Team. It was the best statistical performance by an Anna Maria rookie in a decade.
