Women’s Basketball Snaps Losing Streak Against Bulldogs

PAXTON, MA: Led by an all-around dominant performance from freshman forward Marinique Reddin (Tampa, FL), The Anna Maria College women's basketball team snapped out of a losing streak in resounding fashion with an 83-41 win over visiting Dean College on Monday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Fuller Center in Paxton.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Reddin had perhaps the best performance of her young career, with 16 points, a career-high 14 rebounds, a career-high eight assists and a career-high eight steals.
  • Anna Maria senior guard Franchesca Hammond (Worcester, MA) finished with 16 points, five steals, four assists and three boards.
  • Anna Maria sophomore guard Chloe Giordano (Goffstown, NH) finished with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.
  • Anna Maria sophomore guard Devine Johnson (Framingham, MA) scored a career-high ten points to go along with three rebounds and two steals.
  • The AMCATS dominated exploiting turnovers by the Bulldogs, with a 55-12 advantage in points of turnovers. Their 33 combined steals as a team were the most by Anna Maria in the modern era.
