Women’s Basketball Falls Prey To Monks

STANDISH, ME : The Anna Maria College women's basketball team lost 76-46 on Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at on Mike McDevitt Court at the Harold Alfond Center in Standish, Maine.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Anna Maria freshman forward Marinique Reddin (Tampa, FL) led the AMCATS with 15 points and five boards, shooting a career-best 46.5 percent from the floor. The rookie has scored in double-digits in seven of her last eight games.
  • Anna Maria senior guard Ashley Rufo (Pittsfield, MA) chipped in nine points while senior guard Franchesca Hammond (Worcester, MA) added eight.
  • The Monks were led by junior forward Jayne Howe (Pembroke, MA) with 12 points and six boards.
  • St. Joseph sophomore Angelica Hurley (Groverland, MA) posted a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Anna Maria will be back on the court on Thursday when they host Regis in a 7:00 p.m. game.
