Women’s Hoops Stumbles At Colby-Sawyer

NEW LONDON, NH: The Anna Maria College women's basketball team lost 69-48 at Colby-Sawyer College on Thursday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action in New London, Connecticut.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Anna Maria senior guard Franchesca Hammond (Worcester, MA) once again stepped up for the AMCATS with her first double-double, finishing with 15 points, ten rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block.
  • Colby-Sawyer freshman guard Megan Molettierri (Pelham, NH) led the Chargers with 15 points, shooting four-of-six from behind the arc.
  • Anna Maria senior guard Julitza Delgado (Southbridge, MA) finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals.
  • Colby-Sawyer freshman guard Gabby Lucertini (Branford, CT) finished with 11 points and a team-high eight boards.
  • Anna Maria sophomore guard Devine Johnson (Framingham, MA) scored a career-high 11 points for the AMCATS, while pulling down four rebounds.  

UP NEXT:

Anna Maria will be back on the court on Saturday when they host Elms College in a 12:00 p.m. game. The AMCATS will be honoring their senior class as part of Senior Day.
