PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Women's Hockey Team fell to St. Michael's College this evening in South Burlington Vermont 3-1 in non-conference play.
It was a quiet first as neither team was able to score, until 7:36 into the second period when Julianne Nelson (Armstrong, BC) was able to get a break away and put the puck top shelf to beat the goal tender. Nelson was able to grab the puck off a beautiful wall bounce pass from Georgia McLellan (Kamloops, BC). That would be the only goal for Anna Maria as they go into the third period with a 1-0 lead.
St. Mike's (4-10-1) would end the game on a 3-0 run, with the first goal to knot it up coming from Holly Sullivan 6:30 into the third. Jordan Monbouquette would score the go ahead goal at 15:50 for the Purple Knights. The final goal came just under 4 minutes later when Arianna Boscia was able to finish on an empty net opportunity to go up 3-1.
Goalies
Nicole Talcott (W, 1-4-1) allowed just the 1 goal and had 10 saves.
Gabi Gibson (Anchorage, AK) (L, 0-4) allowed 3 goals and accumulated 59 Saves.
