Ashman Steps Down as Head Volleyball Coach

PAXTON, Mass.—Anna Maria College Athletic Director Serge DeBari announced today that head volleyball coach Britta Ashman has stepped down. A search for her replacement will begin immediately.

Ashman spent one season with the AMCATS. This season the team hosted its first-ever home playoff match as they secured the No. 3 seed in the 2016 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tournament in just their third playoff appearance in the history of the program. They earned their first ever playoff victory downing Saint Joseph's College of Maine 3-2. They also made an ECAC tournament appearance and finished the season with the most wins in program history with 21.

"On behalf of Anna Maria College, I want to thank Britta for her time and dedication spent here," said DeBari. "We are sad to see her go but we wish her the best of luck in the future."
