King Three-Peats as GNAC Volleyball Player of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass.—Sophomore Amari King (Lawrence, Mass.) of the Anna Maria College volleyball team has earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week honors for the third time this season, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

King also earned GNAC Player of the Week honors on October 3rd and September 19th this season.

KING OF THE WORLD

King averaged 5.67 kills and 5.67 digs per set and had three double-doubles in a 3-0 week for the AMCATS. She posted her best performance of the week in a crucial 3-0 win over Saint Joseph's (Me.) in which she tallied 22 kills and 27 digs. King hit at .313 on the week.

KING'S SEASON

The sophomore outside hitter leads the league in kills and kills per set and ranks among the top 15 nationally in both categories. This season, she has shattered the program record for kills in a season (424), topping her own record of 286, which she recorded last season.

WHAT'S NEXT

The AMCATS (16-10, 6-3 GNAC) host their final home regular season match on Tuesday against Worcester State at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Mount Ida for a GNAC tri-match on Friday evening.
