Vollyball Downed in GNAC Tri-Match

Chestnut Hill, MA – Anna Maria was swept in a conference tri-match by Saint Joseph's (15-7, 6-4 GNAC) and Pine Manor (13-4, 4-4) on Saturday afternoon in a GNAC tri-match.  Anna Maria's season record now stands at 3-19, 0-11 GNAC)

Saint Joseph's def. Anna Maria, 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-14)

Following a hard-fought win over Pine Manor, the Monks closed out the day with a 3-0 sweep of Anna Maria College, a new member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) this fall.

Nichole Robbie led the AMC offensive attack with 6 kills to go with a game high 12 digs a block and a service ace while Sandy Acosta registered six kills, 2 aces and 3 digs. Senior Alicia Bonneau had a team high 17 assists on Anna Maria's 19 kills in the loss.

Pine Manor def. Anna Maria, 3-1 (25-16, 26-24, 20-25, 25-14)

In the first match of the day Anna Maria took Pine Manor to 4 sets in a loss. Alex Rodriquez led the AMCATS with a team high 16 digs, 5 kills and 2 services aces.  Also with double digit digs were Nichole Robbie and Kelly Delany who chipped in with 12, respectively. Setter Alicia Bonneau once again had a great day on the court, she led the AMC with 16 assist, 7 kills and a service ace.
