AMC DROPS TWO IN GNAC TRI-MATCH

Match 1- Emmanuel 3, Anna Maria 0 – 25-13, 25-26, 25-12

Senior Kathryne Olsen (Fairhaven, Mass.) paced the visitors' straight set victory with a match high 12 kills, while also adding 12 assists and three digs. Senior Jenna Ross (Centerburg, Ohio) and junior Yun-Ting Lee (Cambridge, Mass.) were also instrumental in the victory. Ross had 13 digs, 7 kills and 2 aces while Lee added 13 digs and 2 aces. Sandy Acosta (Lawrence, Mass.) and Megan Leyton (Eastham, Mass) played well for Anna Maria, as Acosta filled the stat sheet with eight kills, a dig and a block while Leyton added a team high 6 assists.

Match 2- Emmanuel 3, Saint Joseph (CT) 0 – 25-8, 25-14, 25-12

Kathryne Olsen and Jenna Ross once again paced Emmanuel for the 2nd victory of their tri-match sweep. Olsen recorded 10 kills, a game high 10 assists and three digs. Ross dished out 3 assists, had 5 aces, 10 kills and 4 digs on the night. Freshman Christin Durkee (Salem, CT) had a match high 6 aces for the Saints. The Blue Jays were led by freshman Jessica Patrizi (Beacon Falls, CT) she had 5 kills 8 assists and 5 digs and Katelyn Morency (Vernon, CT) who served up 2 aces and added an assist. With the wins Emmanuel moves to 7-11 (3-1 GNAC).

Match 3- Saint Joseph (CT) 3, Anna Maria 1 – 25-19, 19-25, 25-15, 25-22

Led by freshman Ciara Perez (Manchester, CT) match-high 9 digs, 10 kills, 3 assists and 2 aces, Saint Joseph College (CT) defeated the AMCATS three games to one to salvage a tri-match split. Freshman Michelle DiPinto (Burlington, CT) added 10 kills 5 assists and 6 digs for the visiting Blue Jays. Senior setter Alicia Bonneau had a match high 21 assist and Kelley Delany (Charlton, Mass.) added 14 digs and 3 aces for Anna Maria. Also playing well for AMC was Nichole Robbie (10 Kills, 3 assists and 3 digs) and Acosta (11 kills, 4 digs). With the split, the Blue Jays move to 5-11 (1-3 GNAC) on the season, while the pair of losses drop the AMCATS to 3-11 (0-6 GNAC) overall.
