Chargers Bolt Field Hockey in Second Half

PAXTON, Mass:  Anna Maria Women's Field Hockey team would lose Wednesday night to conference opponent Colby-Sawyer College by a score of 2-1 on AMCAT Field. 

 

Colby Sawyer College (12-4, 4-2 GNAC), Anna Maria College (6-7, 2-3 GNAC)

 

First Half: 

 

The Chargers came out of the gate hot getting 4 shots off in a matter of 30 seconds, however Cassie Micklesavage would make four straight saves to keep the score at zero. Alie Jones would lead the Chargers in shots with seven and four of them on net. Colby Sawyer would finish the half with nine shots.  

 

Second Half:

 

Colby Sawyer started the scoring off in the second half getting a goal from Jordan Teixeira which would be here 10th goal on the season.  Four minutes later in the 47th minute Lauryn Masse would score her first goal of the year to take a 2-0 lead.    

 

Chayna Bingham-Hendricks (Mashpee, Mass) would score the only goal for the AMCATS in the 65th minute on a corner from Abigayle Celata (Baldwinville, Mass).

Colby- Sawyer: Abby Ladd: 1 Save, 1 Goals Allowed (11-4)

 

Anna Maria College: Cassie Micklesavage (Pottstown, Penn): 7 Saves, 2 Goals Allowed (2-1)
