Field Hockey Stunned by Bridgewater State

PAXTON, Mass: The Field Hockey team of Anna Maria fell to the Bears of Bridgewater State this evening in non-conference action 5-2 in Bridgewater Massachusetts.

 

The Bears (4-4) only had two people score in the contest Samantha Hayes and Julianne Kilduff. Hayes put together a three goal and two assist night for Bridgewater as she led them in scoring. She was closely followed by Kilduff who put in two goals of her own and assisted on another. The Bears had a total of thirty-three shots on net compared to the AMCAT three.

 

Anna Maria (4-4) was led by freshmen Abigayle Celata (Baldwinville, Mass.) and junior Anne Melanson (Grafton, Mass.) as they bother were able to find the back of the net for the AMCATS. Celata's shot was assisted by Chayna Bingham-Hendricks (Mashpee, Mass.), while Melanson's was on a feed from Lauren Lapierre (Worcester, Mass.).

 

Bridgewater will be back in action this Saturday the 29th at 12:00 PM as they travel to Salem State.

 

The AMCATS will be back on the field next Thursday the 4th at 7:00 PM as they will continue on the road to play Worcester State in non-conference action.
