PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Field Hockey team wasn't able to defeat Johnson and Wales in conference action this evening. The fell by a score of 4-1 in Providence Rhode Island.
The Wildcats (5-10, 3-4 GNAC) scoring started off with Erin Robin in the eleventh minute. Robins would later score again for a second goal in the 59th minute of the contest to lead all scoring. Heather Lind and Rachel DeVore also were able to find the back of the net in the match.
The AMCATS (6-9, 2-5 GNAC) were led by junior Allyson Shaw (Holden, Mass.) who was able to score the lone goal in the 20th minute. Cassandra Micklesavage (Pottstown, Mass.) was able to put together a double digit save night as she compiled twelve saves.
Anna Maria will be back for their senior day this Thursday as they will play Dean with action starting at 5:00PM.
