Field Hockey Out Lasted by Bison 2-1

PAXTON, MA:  The Anna Maria field hockey team was defeated by Nichols College in a non-conference match up 2-1 on Thursday night on AMCAT Field.

Nichols College (4-1, 2-0 CCC), Anna Maria College (3-3, 1-1 GNAC)

First Half

Nichols College struck first in the 18^th minute on a penalty corner by Lizz McKinnon, who received a pass from Courtney White, about ten feet in front of the net and was able to put it in for her 6^th goal of the season. Nichols would go into the half up 1-0 on the AMCATS.

Second Half

Nichols was able to find the back of the net again in the 54^th minute as Erin Kelley found her teammate Maggie Noelk for the score.  

The AMCATS answered back in the 68^th minute after Niamh Cote (Tewksburry, Mass.)  was able to find Allyson Shaw (Holden, Mass.) who scored the only goal for Anna Maria.
