Scafidi Named to D3baseball.com All-New England
PAXTON, MA – The 2012 D3baseball.com All-Region teams have been announced and senior Jeff Scafidi (Worcester, Mass.) has earned All-New England recognition. The senior has collected First Team honors for his outstanding spring season.
Scafidi, the 2012 GNAC Player of the Year, 2012 Worcester Area Player of the Year and First Team All-NEIBA selection recently capped off an outstanding college career.
In 2012, Scafidi steered his team with a .408 batting average with four homers, 32 RBIs and 32 runs scored. On the mound, Scafidi also posted a 6-2 record, an ERA of 3.59 to go with 29 strikeouts in 44 innings.
For his career, this young man has re-written the Anna Maria baseball record books. He holds 12 all-time records including batting average (.404), hits (230), home runs (14), RBI's (143), and total bases (353).
Anna Maria went 24-18 with a final four appearance in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tournament and was runner-up in the 2012 ECAC baseball tournament.
