Scafidi Earns GNAC Honor Roll Award
Paxton, Mass. – Senior pitcher Jeff Scafidi (Worcester, Mass.) had earned honorable mention status as awarded by the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) as announced by the conference on Monday evening.
Scafidi, in his only appearance of the week, pitched a 2-hit complete game shutout over visiting Eastern Nazarene. The senior went the seven innings allowing only two singles in the game and not allowing a runner to reach 3rd base. Scafidi retired the last 14 batters he faced and struck out 5 including the final two to end the game. Scafidi improves to 3-0 on the season.
The AMCATS are in Fitchburg today to take on the Falcons of Fitchburg State University in a single game starting at 3:00 pm.
