Kneeland Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass.—Junior Kate Kneeland (Windham, Maine) of the Anna Maria College women's soccer team has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday.

She becomes the second women's soccer player to earn weekly accolades as Ashley Bottis (Rutland, Mass.) was named Player of the Week in the first week of the season.

KNEELAND'S WEEK

Kneeland stopped 21 of the 22 shots she faced (.955 save percentage) in a 1-1 week. She recorded 15 saves and maintained a shutout in regulation against Regis and added two more saves in overtime before Regis sneaked the golden goal past her. She followed that up with a four-save shutout victory at Mount Ida on Saturday.

WHAT'S NEXT

The AMCATS will look for their second-straight victory on Thursday when they travel to Becker for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference game.
