PAXTON, MA. – On Saturday, September 30th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team hosted the Albertus Magnus Falcons for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 2-0.
After a scoreless first half of the game, the AMCATS would battle back and fourth with the Falcons for a little over 67 minutes before giving up their first goal of the day. Trailing by one, the AMCATS still have a chance to tie the game back up however a goal from the Falcons just five minutes later would put the AMCATS in a compromising position. Unable to get some offense going the AMCATS would fight down to the final buzzer ultimately falling to the Falcons 2-0.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Kortney Clark stopped 8 out the 10 shots that came her way.
- Albertus Magnus goalkeeper Emma Devito earned her first win of the season as well as collecting the shutout.
