Women’s Soccer Draw with the Bulldogs

PAXTON, MA: The Anna Maria College women's soccer team welcomed Dean College on Saturday morning in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Caparso Field.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The score does not tell the full story of this game between the AMCATS and the Bulldogs. The majority of the game was spent in the AMCATS offensive zone, but an outstanding day in goal by the Bulldogs Haley Gaunt kept the AMCATS from running away with it. The AMCATS outshot the Bulldogs 19-2, with 12 of the AMCATS shots being on goal.
• DeAnna Bakers tied the game up for the AMCATS in the 45^th minute with her fourth goal of the year. The goal came on a penalty kick that went straight on from the space that Gaunt had just abandoned as she guessed incorrectly and dove right.
• Senior goalkeeper Alice Yokabaskas (Old Orchard Beach, ME) had an easy day in net and was credited with one save.
• The Bulldogs' goal was scored by Jazzy Sztyler-Magee in the 18^th minute. It was her sixth goal of the year, accounting for all six of the Bulldogs' goals this year.
