Mariners Sink Women’s Soccer In The Second Half

PAXTON, MA. – On Wednesday, October 11th the Anna Maria College Women's Soccer team hosted the Mitchell College Mariners for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 2-0.

Outshot in the first half, the AMCATS managed to go into the intermission unscathed as goalkeeper Madi Mulligan kept all three shots faced out of the net. The Mariners would capitalize quick to start the second half with a goal from Cassandra Roman just ten minutes into play. The AMCATS managed a few opportunities in the minutes following the Mariners goal, but a yellow card from Mia Kohl would trigger the Mariners second goal off the boot of Elon Johnson. Adding some insurance to their lead, the Mariners would hold on for the remainder of the half, with the AMCATS trailing 2-0 at the end of regulation.
