Raiders Pull Away From Women’s Soccer

PAXTON, MA. – On Wednesday, October 4th the Anna Maria College Women's Soccer team hosted the Rivier University Raiders for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 3-0.

Quick to score, the Raiders were the first on the board with a goal just two minutes into the game. Rivier would tack on their second goal of the game just 16 minutes later, making it a 2-0 game early in the first half. The game would hold steady for the remainder of the first half with the AMCATS still behind the the Raiders 2-0 heading into the intermission.

The break would prove unhelpful for the AMCATS as the Raiders would jump right back into it scoring just two minutes into the second half yet again bringing the Raiders lead to 3-0. Unable to find the back of the net, the AMCATS couldn't come back and closed out the game trailing by three.
