Early Second Half Goal From Elms Puts Women’s Soccer Down 1-0

CHICOPEE, MA. – On Tuesday, October 24th the Anna Maria College women's soccer team traveled to Chicopee, MA to take on the Elms College Blazers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 1-0.

The AMCATS struggled to get shots on net during the match with the Blazers putting on the most pressure throughout the game. After a scoreless first half, the Blazers managed an early goal in the second as Kelly Malheiro found Emily Basua for their first goal of the game just eight minutes into the second half. From their the AMCATS would manage to fend off the Blazers for the remainder of the game as Kortney Clark would stop 3 shots to keep it a 1-0 game. The AMCATS would only manage one shot on goal during the match closing the game out with a 1-0 loss to the Blazers.
