Field Hockey Earns NFHCA Division III National Academic Honors
PAXTON, Mass.— After earning a team GPA of 3.0 or higher the Anna Maria College field hockey team earned the Zag/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award along with placing 10 players on the Zag/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad and one Scholar of Distinction. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum team grade point average of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
Anna Maria College freshman midfielder, Anne Melanson (Grafton, Mass.) earned recognition as a Scholar of Distinction. The Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
The National Academic Squad includes all student-athletes with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher through the first semester.
