Lasers Drop Five On Field Hockey

PAXTON, MA. – On Tuesday, October 10th the Anna Maria College women's field hockey team hosted the Lasell University Lasers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the contest 5-0.
The AMCATS and the lasers would play the first frame to a scoreless draw that saw the lasers force seven shots on the AMCATS net. The remainder of the first quarter was filled with fouls from both sides. In the second quarter, the lasers opened the scoring and would go on to finish the quarter with three unanswered goals. The lasers would continue their scoring ways adding two more goals in the third quarter, pushing their lead to 5-0. The AMCATS would lock down on defense, in the fourth quarter keeping the lasers scoreless. Unfortunately, the AMCATS were not able to break onto the scoreboard. BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Hannah Tobey and Carly Dedrick split the game for the AMCATS making 8 and 9 saves respectively.
- Madison-Marie Romano led the AMCATS with two shots on goal.
