Colby-Sawyer Charges Past Field Hockey 6-0

PAXTON, MA. – On Saturday, September 30th the Anna Maria College field hockey team hosted the Colby-Sawyer Chargers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 6-0.

A late goal in the first quarter would get the scoring started for the Chargers making it a 1-0 game after the first fifteen minutes. The AMCATS would struggle to keep up, giving up a quick goal at the start of the second quarter to bring the Chargers lead up to two. Struggling to get shots on net, the AMCATS would be faced with a third chargers goal at the end of the second quarter, closing out the first half behind Colby-Sawyer 3-0.

After the intermission, the AMCATS would manage to hold off the Chargers until late in the third quarter where they would score their fourth goal of the day. Still unable to get any shots on net, the AMCATS would find two more Chargers goals in the fourth quarter to close the game out at 6-0 in favor of Colby-Sawyer.
