Field Hockey Gives Up Lead to Bluejays

PAXTON, MA—The Anna Maria College field hockey team hosted the University of Saint. Joseph (CT) Bluejays on Tuesday, September 12th for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference Matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 3-1.

Struggling to get the ball out of their defensive zone, the AMCATS finally made a break down field resulting in a goal from Eden Forget off a pass from Meghan Sonia. Leading 1-0 at the end of the first quarter the AMCATS look to build some momentum, however they were met with an early second quarter goal from the Bluejays to tie the game up. The Bluejays would move on to score a second and third goal in the third and fourth quarters of the game. Despite countless opportunities in the final moments of the game, the AMCATS were unable to comeback from the two goal deficit and ended the game behind the Bluejays 3-1.
