Men’s Basketball Fall to Statesmen

WILLIMANTIC, CT: The Anna Maria College men's basketball team traveled to Eastern Connecticut State University to face off with Hobart College in the ECSU Tip-Off Tournament consolation game at the Geissler Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

• The AMCATS trailed from the get-go and never were able to find their way against the Statemen from Hobart College. They trailed by as much as 27 points early in the second half.
• The AMCATS were led by nine points each from junior forward Gabe Armstead (Dallas, GA) and freshman forward Jopaul McKreith (Springfield, MA).
• Sophomore guard Bryson Grenon (Sutton, MA) paced the AMCATS with six rebounds.
• The AMCATS did harass the Statesmen into committing 22 turnovers, but could only convert the turnovers into 15 points.
• The Statesmen's Jackson Meshanic led all scorers with 18 points and the Statesmen got points from 13 different players.
