PAXTON, MA: On Saturday afternoon, the Anna Maria College men's basketball team hosted the St. Josephs CT. Blue Jays at the Fuller Gymnasium in Paxton, MA. The AMCATS lost the game 90-63.

THE BASICS:

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The AMCATS battled back and forth with the Blue Jays holding at a one point difference halfway through the first half.
  • The Blue Jays started to pull away and Anna Maria found themselves trailing behind at the close of the first half. 
  • Christian Armstead led the AMCATS with 12 points in the first half of the game.
  • Going into the second half the AMCATS trailed 49-32. They were unable to close the gap as the Blue Jays put up 41 points on the AMCATS.
  • Ray Carter Jr. led the AMCATS in the second half putting up 13 points (17 points total) to try and scratch back any way that they could.
  • Carter was joined by Armstead (16 points) and Trevian Grenon (11 points) who both ended the game in double digits.
