Men’s Basketball Dismantles Chargers 72-48

PAXTON, MA: On Saturday afternoon, the Anna Maria College men's basketball team welcomed the Colby-Sawyer College Chargers in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game at the Fuller Activities Center.

SENIOR DAY:

Prior to the game, the AMCATS recognized their graduating senior class as part of senior day. Drew Paulhus (Charlton, MA) and Kennedy Minix-Rogers (Smyrna, GA) were honored by coaches, teammates, family members, and fans for their time with the basketball program. Although their time with the program may be ending, they will forever be a part of the AMCAT family.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The AMCATS never trailed and after the Chargers tied the game at 23 with about six and half minutes remaining in the first half, the AMCATS went on a 17-5 run to close out the half.
• The AMCATS offense was fueled by sophomore guard Trevian Grenon (Sutton, MA) with 19 points off the bench on 6-10 shooting from the field, including 5-9 from beyond the three-point arc.
• Sophomore guard Sean Zabari (Miami, FL) tacked on 14 points while also corralling six rebounds, all on the defensive end.
• Graduate student guard Hayden Braga (Foster, RI) recorded his second double-double in the last three games by scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
• The Chargers were led by 15 points from Kevin Cummings and 13 points from Terrence Harvey, Jr.
